There’s just something about Christmas that brings out the kid in all of us. The lights, the cookies, the wrapping paper (which, let’s be honest, our Labradors think is the greatest toy ever invented). But around here at 3 Lovable Labs, the holidays also bring out something else: creativity. And yes… more Labrador art than ever.

This year, inspiration struck the moment I pictured Santa rolling into town with a team of black Labs leading his sleigh. I mean… why wouldn’t Santa choose Labs? They’re loyal, hardworking, bursting with joy, and they never turn down a cookie. It just made sense — and that spark became the newest Christmas card in the shop.

The design celebrates everything we love about Labs during the holiday season. There’s Santa in his bright red sleigh, gifts overflowing, his coat puffed in the cold. There’s a snowy forest, a smiling snowman, falling snowflakes, and of course, the stars of the show, three happy Black Labs wearing festive antlers, proudly guiding Santa through the winter night.

But beyond the illustration itself, this card is a little love letter to Labrador families everywhere. If you’ve ever shared your home with a Lab, you know the holidays just hit different. From “helping” decorate the tree, to greeting every guest like a long-lost friend, to stealing a seat right in front of the fireplace… Labs have a way of making every December feel magical.

Why Labs Make Christmas Brighter

One of my favorite things about Lab, black, yellow, or chocolate, is how full-hearted they live. They don’t do anything halfway. If they love you, they really love you. If they’re excited, you know it. If they’re hoping you’ll drop a piece of turkey… well, you definitely know that too.

During the holiday season, that enthusiasm is contagious. A Labrador doesn’t see stress, shopping lists, holiday traffic, or tangled lights. They see fun, family, playtime, and maybe a snuck-in cookie if they sit nicely enough.

And their joyful spirit is exactly what inspired this year’s artwork. A reminder that Christmas shouldn’t be about perfection — it should be about warmth, joy, and moments that make you smile. Just like the Labs in Santa’s sleigh.
